Anarchists Care About Books (ACAB)
Anarchists Care About Books is book club, usually held at Bluestockings Bookstore (172 Allen St, New York, NY 10002) once a month on a Sunday, 4pm-6pm. It was originally organized by a group at the MACC retreat in November 2017. The first meeting was in January 2018. The group alternates between fiction and non-fiction. Books are usually nominated on the email list and then decided upon at the discussions 2-3 months in advance. The role of facilitator rotates amongst volunteers. The book discussions are open to all anarchists, antifascists, anti-authoritarians and those interested in anarchist ideas and organizing. No need to have any prior involvement in MACC!
The group is currently organized via an email list which you can join here, however, you can easily participate without being on the email list simply by reading the books as they are listed on the calendar.
